Half-gallon milk or juice cartons make excellent containers for growing miniature vegetables due to the low carton height. This enables growing vegetables indoors on shelving under artificial lighting. For outdoors, the low profile cartons help resist the wind.
Be sure to get cartons with a screw cap spout. This makes it easier to add nutrient solution to the carton, which can be done with a funnel.
Cut a hole in the carton large enough to support the net pot.
